A downloadable project

“Last Train” is a short RPG prototype focused on psychological suspense and narrative exploration, developed for a game jam using RPG Maker 2000/2003. The game addresses the jam’s theme by offering an experience that can be completed within a short development timeframe. 

The story follows a protagonist with no memory who is trapped on a mysterious train during the early hours of the morning. Each carriage represents fragments of their memories and serves as a small challenge or interactive event. The project uses few maps and simple RPG Maker resources, prioritizing narrative, atmosphere, and player choice. Decisions made throughout the journey alter the story’s endings. 

The main focus is to create a constant sense of intrigue and an unsettling atmosphere without relying on complex systems. In this way, the game meets the competition’s criteria of fun, execution, and originality.
